This fanciful red-brick complex was built in the 19th century as a residence for the Orthodox metropolitan, and combines Byzantine, Moorish and Gothic details with colourful patterned roof tiles. Today it houses a university, and its courtyards and halls are open to visitors. It is a World Heritage Site.
