Terms of use
Plain-language terms for the guides, the planner, the visited map and the place suggestions.
Last updated: 8 October 2026.
What the site is
Europe Trip Explorer is a free planning aid. Guides, routes and travel times are estimates written for orientation and are not professional advice. Check times, tickets, rules and conditions with the operator or the official source before you travel. See the travel disclaimer.
No bookings
We do not sell or book anything. We are not a party to any purchase or agreement you make elsewhere, including through sponsored links.
Your content
Trips you save and maps you download are yours. When you suggest a place or send a message, you confirm that you have the right to share it and you allow us to store it, edit it for clarity and, for place suggestions, publish the result on the site. Do not send anything unlawful, private to someone else or misleading. We may decline or remove a suggestion without giving a reason.
Our content
You may link to our pages and quote short extracts with credit. Please do not copy the guides wholesale or republish them. Photos and maps carry their own licences, listed on the photo credits page.
Content creators
The talking points on place pages are there for you to use in your own videos. A mention of the site is appreciated but not required. Check facts before you state them on camera, because the guides can contain mistakes.
Fair use
Do not scrape the site, overload it with automated requests, try to reach other people’s accounts or the admin area, or probe it for weaknesses. We may block traffic that does. If you find a security problem, please tell us through the contact page.
Map data
Borders and place names on maps are shown as provided by their sources and are not a statement about the status of any territory.
Liability
The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from relying on its content, from missed connections or closures, or from downtime. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest change. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
