Cliffs of Moher
Sheer sea cliffs on the Clare coast and Ireland's most visited natural attraction.
For storytellers
Why Cliffs of Moher matters
The Cliffs of Moher rise straight out of the Atlantic, and standing at the edge is a humbling experience. They stretch for miles along the Clare coast, home to puffins and other seabirds in summer. A visitor centre and viewing platforms make it easy, but the cliff path gives a quieter experience. Always stay behind safe barriers, as the wind can be strong.
Talking points
- Seabirds nest on the cliffs.
- The cliffs run along miles of coast.
