Why Donana National Park matters
Doñana is Europe's great wetland, where marshes, dunes and pine forest meet the Atlantic. Every winter, birds from northern Europe arrive in huge numbers, and the park is also home to the Iberian lynx and imperial eagle. Guided jeep tours reach the interior. Nearby, El Rocio village hosts a major pilgrimage.
