This colossal stone monument is hard to miss. It commemorates the Battle of Leipzig in 1813, one of the largest battles of the Napoleonic wars, and stands over ninety metres tall. Walk through the crypt, with its giant sculpted figures, and climb up for a view over the city. It is imposing and a bit eerie.
