Why Anaga Rural Park matters
The Anaga mountains are one of Tenerife's wildest corners. Mist-covered laurel forest, an ancient type of woodland, covers the ridges, and trails lead to remote hamlets and black-sand beaches. It's a very different side of the island from the beach resorts. It is close to Santa Cruz.
