Why Dueodde Beach matters
Dueodde is known for very fine, pale sand, so fine it has been used in hourglasses. The beach is wide and gently sloping, with dunes and pine woods behind, and a lighthouse nearby. In summer it is a favourite with Danish families, and in autumn it is wonderfully empty.
Talking points
- The sand is fine enough to have been used in hourglasses.
- Dunes and pine forest back the beach.
- A lighthouse nearby offers a view over the southern tip.
