A ruined medieval bishop's castle with a cathedral, by the seafront.
For storytellers
Why Haapsalu Episcopal Castle matters
The castle is a ruin but a very photogenic one, standing next to the sea, with a large church in its walls. According to legend, a ghost known as the White Lady appears in a window of the church on certain nights in August. Each summer there is a festival around the legend. Even without a ghost, it is a pleasant spot for a walk along the shore.
