Why Puente Nuevo, Ronda matters

Ronda is built on both sides of a deep gorge, and the Puente Nuevo spans it with a single tall arch. Finished in the late eighteenth century, it connects the old Moorish town with the newer district. The best views are from the paths down the side of the gorge. It is one of the great sights of Andalusia.
