Why Toledo Cathedral matters
Toledo's cathedral is a Gothic giant whose interior is stuffed with treasures: a dazzling altarpiece, carved choir stalls and paintings by El Greco in the sacristy. A strange sunlit window called El Transparente sends light onto a baroque sculpture. Its tower dominates the skyline of the old city.
