Why Triple Bridge matters

The original bridge was expanded by Plecnik with two pedestrian footbridges alongside, creating a plaza over the river. It is the city's meeting point and a gateway to the old town. Stand in the middle to take in the three arches and the lively crowd, then continue to the river cafes.

Talking points

  • The architect added two side bridges to the original.
  • It links the old town to Presernov trg.
  • The balustrades have a distinctive style.
