Why High Castle Hill matters
A short walk from the centre leads you to the highest point in Lviv, the site of the original medieval castle. Little remains of the fortress, but a viewing platform on top gives a magnificent panorama of the red roofs and church domes of the old town. It is an easy climb and a good way to see how the city is laid out.
