Why Majori Beach matters
On a warm day, Majori Beach is where Latvia comes to relax. The sand is soft and pale, the water is shallow and the dunes and pines behind it give some shade. The pedestrian street Jomas iela is a few minutes' walk away and has cafés for lunch. Stay for the sunset, which looks west across the Gulf of Riga.
