Why Parnidis Dune matters

Just outside Nida a path climbs a huge dune, one of the tallest on the spit. From the top you see the lagoon on one side, the pine forest and the sea on the other, and a huge sundial stands at the summit. It is a magical place at sunrise or sunset, and a short, easy climb.

Talking points

  • The dune gives you views of the lagoon and the Baltic from a single spot.
  • A sundial stands at the top.
