Why Bacvice Beach matters

Most Dalmatian beaches are pebbly, but Bacvice has sand, which is why locals love it. In summer you will see people playing picigin, a fast ball game in knee-deep water that is a point of local pride. It is busy, noisy and very much a city beach. A good place for an easy swim a short walk from the centre.

Talking points

  • It is one of the few sandy beaches in the area.
  • Locals play picigin, a ball game, in the shallows.
  • It is a short walk from the old town.
